This week we’ve experienced some temporary loss of personnel and the much beloved MummRatRadio show will be put on hiatus. Fret you not, there will be updates! Like this one!

Not to stir up some controversy, but as far as ‘American Standard’ goes, this logo from the back of my toilet looks unusually similar to this one?

We are in no way implying that the President of these United States is running things like a toilet, I’ve just noticed this unusual coincidence and decided to have it documented.  Maybe his graphic designer should have done his thinking somewhere else!

On a more personal note, i was trying to avoid taking a camera into the bathroom but was unable to find this log anywhere on the internet.  Perhaps there is just a little too much anti-obama sentiment trailing into and out of my office building?

Will the conspiracies ever end!?

I found a photograph of a little boy on the side of the road this morning and decided the web was too proliferated with images that have received the photoshop treatment…and since photoshop is for losers…I went back to the basics and gave this photo a minorly inappropriate analog adjustment, the way our parents used to do it!

We know: ‘Where’s the MummRat’!?

We’ve been on point with our weekly updates, plus a few extra goodies peppered in there along the way – except for this week. This week we fell off the train…way off the trolly…the wagon is passed…the carrot fell off the string and the donkey’s lost it’s way…the beans have burned on the grill…that fat woman you’ve heard so much about has packed her bags and she’s sitting comfortably in the two seats she was forced to purchase on her flight back to Vienna…

We moved out of Long Beach and onto a couch in Pasadena. My car broke down..we fixed it…broke down again…and now i can drive fifty five…but not any faster.

We’ve done mummrat…we just haven’t posted it…that’s the trouble with live on tape delay…the delay.

We’ve got it all hooked up. Expect it before thanksgiving, and you can give thanks. Then expect something even better to come along in its place. And hopefully, if you give enough thanks [and money...money always helps] we’ll have a central command all set up by next week and we’ll be all good to go…

We swear.

We’re all familiar with Disney’s common practice of their ‘adaptation’ of fairy tales – in other words…steal shit that’s good and make it Disney awesome…sell sell sell!

and it looks like Disney’s latest effort is no different…

It’s not the frog prince storyline I’m upset about either…i mean, come on, nobody cares about sexual deviants tongue wrestling with amphibians anyway…it’s their blatant disregard for my childhood nostalgia!!!

Listen…if there are any holdovers from Jacob or Wilhelm Grimm’s era, they can go ahead and be right pissed just like me [I mean, anyone who's pushing two hundred years old can be pissed at just about whatever they want if you want my opinion - not just stealing stories - like, lumpy gravy and astroturf], but that’s not the issue here…Louie The Lightning Bug taught me so much about playing it safe around electricity I’d feel like a criminal just sitting by and allowing this piracy and defamation of character persist!

Catching fireflies has always been a proud tradition as a child growing up in the midwest [I care to mention this as it has been brought to my attention that nobody on the west coast here has even SEEN a firefly - I KNOW RIGHT?  So those deprived children have nothing to complain about...well..besides the deprivation in their childhood] – You put those things in a jar with a fist full of grass, pop some holes in the lid, and just watch em till they die! Sounds gruesome i know, but a proud tradition, just like watching television commercials!

You all may remember Louie from such PSA’s as this:

How was I to know not to throw the radio into the bathtub without a guy like Louie looking out for my well being!?! And then Disney paints him as a toothless old hick dumb enough to fall in love with the moon!? THE MOON!!!

Please share my passion for a moment, you don’t go around giving your friends bad haircuts do you? Exactly, so why would anyone allow a green light on this?

So for all of you with children out there,I’m asking you please, don’t take them to see this film – you wouldn’t pay a robber to steal your baby straight out the incubator would you?

Well howdy folks I’m still in Long Beach for the time being and Rush Limbaugh is still alive.  Now either of cannot necessarily be blamed for our current situations, but certainly we can regret them.  I imagine Rush Limbaugh hates himself much more than any of us could imagine.  Success is it’s own failure, the Buddhists would say, and no one has a higher level of failure through success than the fat big on the top of the radio tower.
